Jackfish ball in the ocean in Philippines

Malaysia offers a variety of diving across both its borneo and peninsula locations with a real variety of sites and locations to suit all divers.

Although sometimes overlooked for other areas of the coral triangle, Malaysia has some exceptional diving offerings which can enthrall the most experienced of divers and novices alike.

Peninsula Malaysia

There are a number of islands to choose from on Peninsula Malaysia, the highlights being on the east coast which are accessible from March to October.

Each island offers a slightly different nuance and this variety provides a number of different options depending on the requirements for each specific trip.

Sipadan & Mabul Island

Arguably containing the best diving within Malaysia, these two islands are distinctively famous in their own right.

Sipadan’s popularity has brought severe restrictions on guest numbers, circa 125 per day but this has also ensured that this site is left pristine and continues to enchant visitors.

Mabul is famous for its muck and photographers flock to this site to capture some of the truly alien inhabitants that reside in these waters.

Layang Layang Island

Given its remote location, Layang Layang island offers pristine reef systems which are often visited by migrating pelagics. Arguably this island is most famous for its hammerhead migration period in May.
